About Us
Wentworth Consulting Group, LLC is an affiliation of experienced, independent executive coaches and consultants, headed by Bonnie Wentworth. We have extensive management, education and consulting experience with Fortune 500, non-profit, small business and start-up organizations.
Since 1999, Wentworth Consulting Group (WCG) has created custom solutions with clients to achieve greater effectiveness and lasting results. Drawing upon 20 years of managing people, processes and services, WCG offers vision skills and a framework for success. Integrated in her work are life experiences as a competitive athlete, leader, parent, volunteer, continuous learner and human being.
WCG’s team works with organizations to build capacity through leadership development providing coaching, training and skill development to managers and leaders leading complex and ongoing change.
About Bonnie Wentworth, Executive Coach and Leadership Strategist
Bonnie Wentworth has a proven 25 year track record of catalyzing strategic change and producing results for individuals, teams and organizations. Building on a foundation of managing people, processes and services, Bonnie has coached, taught and consulted to leaders of successful organizations including Kaiser Permanente, Stanford, Charles Schwab, Gap, UCSF Medical Center, UC Berkeley, USF Law School, Sutter Health, NetApp, and Genentech – as well as several start-ups and non-profits.
Bonnie is frequently cited as a trusted advisor by her clients; her coaching style and broad experience fuels her success with senior leaders and deans in education, health care, technology, financial services, venture capital and legal leaders. Prior to founding Wentworth Consulting Group in 1998, Bonnie led a nationwide team as a Director at Charles Schwab in San Francisco. Bonnie serves as adjunct staff for several OB courses at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business including Paths to Power with Jeffrey Pfeffer. Additionally, Bonnie is adjunct faculty at the University of San Francisco’s School of Law.
Recent Engagements:
- Coach, trusted advisor and organizational consultant to CFO and executive team committed to high performance and struggling with conflict over competing priorities with limited resources. Engagement includes coaching CFO and several direct reports, facilitating two person dialogues, designing and facilitating quarterly all-day strategic planning and team development off sites. Results are greater team effectiveness including a prioritization of shared and functional goals, an increase of productivity and satisfaction through disciplined dialogue with increased skills and comfort with difficult conversations and productive conflict.
- Coach, trusted adviser to SVPs of National Sales & Account Management and Operations to leverage influence to produce strategic change and tangible results through their own and peer’s organizations in a highly complex, federated organizational structure. Bonnie facilitated interactive key note speech on accountability and resilience at annual National Operations leadership meeting for 90-person management group to increase personal ownership of annual strategic goal development and implementation within a challenging environment.
- Facilitated monthly off-site leadership meetings for CIO and his executive team. Implemented new group decision making process to drive greater transparency, trust and decision ownership at cross-organization implementation phase.
- Co-created and executed highly successful, mandatory year-long leadership development program for 350 IT Senior Managers and Directors at financial services company amidst significant organizational change. Pre- and post-program 360 assessments indicated a significant increase in emotional intelligence (including self management and accountability), effective communication and change management competencies.
With an undergraduate degree in Classics and master’s in Organizational Psychology, Bonnie brings inquiry, rigor and discipline to bear in her client relationships. Bonnie serves on the advisory board of Playworks, a nationwide non-profit bringing positive play and leadership development to underserved urban elementary school students. Bonnie integrates life experiences as a leader, competitive athlete, volunteer, adventurer, learning junkie, change catalyst and human being in her work.
