Leadership is a skill.
It’s up to you to develop it.

Leadership is a skill.
It’s up to you to develop it.

Wentworth Consulting is me, Bonnie Wentworth. Through a varied three-decade career, first as an award-winning business leader at Charles Schwab and later as an executive coach, board member, and Stanford adjunct instructor delivering transformational results for other leaders, I’ve learned a few things that changed my life and the lives of my clients and their organizations:

1. There is a set of strengths and perspectives that, once harnessed, can profoundly transform the way you lead and influence others.

2. Most everyone can learn this knowledge, but it remains inaccessible to the majority of leaders who are struggling to do their best without support and guidance.

3. Given the right support from the right person at the right time, every leader can create huge positive change for themselves, their teams and their companies.

4. The more you commit to the process, the more powerfully you can transform your ability to motivate, collaborate, influence, and lead.

5. Being your best version of yourself yields well being, satisfaction, and sustainability.

“The most dangerous leadership myth is that leaders are born-that there is a genetic factor to leadership. That’s nonsense; in fact, the opposite is true. Leaders are made rather than born.”

Warren Bennis

Anyone can learn to be their best leader.

It’s my job to show you what is possible.

Anyone can learn to be their best leader. It’s my job to show you what’s possible.

My approach blends years of my own real-world business experience with organizational psychology, or “business therapy”, 10,000 hours of coaching, academic research, and deep experiential learning on power, gender, race, and gender identity issues to transform good leaders into great leaders.

I’ve nurtured strong, influential people in all spheres, from the founders of fast-growing startups and Fortune 500 executives to women of color, social impact leaders and trailblazing nonprofits. I’ve provided the tools, resources, methods and experiences to help leaders find and harness their inner strength so they can lead with clarity, credibility and conviction.

And I can do the same for you

Welcome to Wentworth Consulting Group.

“Does coaching work? Yes. Good coaches provide a truly important service. They tell you the truth when no one else will.”

Jack Welch

Are you ready to accelerate your leadership with me?

Why me? Because my credentials speak for themselves.

Unlike many other coaches, I’ve been formally trained as a coach – attaining Master Certified Coach status from the International Coaching Federation. The ICF MCC credential represents the Olympic Gold of coaching and the highest level of achievement. Only 6% of credentialed coaches are Master Certified, so you can be sure that you are working with the best of the best.

On top of that, I’m licensed in 14 assessment programs, am a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, a Founding Fellow for Harvard Medical School’s Institute of Coaching, hold volunteer board positions for national nonprofits, have managed teams, raised a family, lived internationally, built a company, been a competitive athlete, and taught hundreds of students and professionals as adjunct instructor and leadership coach at Stanford’s world-class Graduate School of Business where I’ve worked in teaching, facilitation, and coaching roles for nearly twenty years.

Yes, I’m passionate about what I do and the brilliant stars who are my clients. Yes, I’ve been called a workaholic. I’m making progress! And yes, I’ve managed to maintain a sense of humor!

Through all this experience, I’ve learned what makes for good leadership. And what doesn’t. I’m ready to push you harder, stretch you further and inspire you to greater heights.

“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change.”

Charles Darwin

“For a venture-backed founder/CEO, Bonnie Wentworth is the full package. She combines academic rigor and structured coaching techniques with empathy, emotional intelligence and spiritual depth in every discussion. Bonnie is a strategic partner that identified and addressed organizational issues proactively as we scaled the company through growth, dealt with turbulence during the pandemic, and delivered a successful acquisition to a large, public biotech. She is a “must-have” resource for any founder/CEO and delivers a 10x return on investment. I would work with Bonnie again in a heartbeat.”

“While Bonnie helped me develop on multiple fronts, I am most grateful to her for helping me navigate my co-founder relationship. In the end, I evolved my co-founder relationship in a way that better served the company and was more rewarding for myself, both personally and professionally. I could not have achieved this outcome without Bonnie’s coaching. She pushed me to ask and answer hard questions and think differently. Thank you, Bonnie.”

“I trust Bonnie. She does an incredible job of listening and then from there pointing out the potential root cause. And while she has many frameworks, she doesn’t come in assuming she knows what works. I find her approach feels very personable and very effective. Bonnie also has so many years of experience that I trust the intuition that she’s built over time.”

Vlada Bortnik
CEO / Co-founder,
Marco Polo

“Bonnie is one of the rare outside consultants who is able to give advice like an insider. She is a consummate listener and observer and is therefore able to synthesize situation and dynamics to give effective feedback and direction. Given the breadth of her background, I can recommend her for large companies and startups alike. She will make a practical difference int he way you show up at work as a leader.”
